Remember the game of Tetris? I've been thinking about it a lot lately. I know, I know – seems random, right? But stick with me, I promise it's relevant. 😀 You know that moment in Tetris when your screen is almost completely full? Blocks stacked to the top. Heart racing. One wrong move and it's game over. Then – somehow – you get exactly the right piece, and boom. Multiple rows disappear at once. Suddenly you have all this space you didn't have before. | | I was up the other night thinking about my endless to-do list, and it hit me: We're all playing an endless game of Stress Tetris. New "blocks" keep falling (work deadlines, family obligations, health worries, financial pressures, global stressors) and we're frantically trying to make them all fit. Then someone (like me) suggests "Just try this one thing to help!" Problem is, when we're already overwhelmed adding ANYTHING feels like the final block that'll topple everything. But here's what clicked for me: In Tetris, adding the right piece in the right place doesn't make things worse. It clears multiple rows at once. And that's exactly what Tapping does. | | Even a brief Tapping session can clear multiple "rows" of stress simultaneously, creating space in your life you didn't know was possible. The trick? Seeing Tapping not as another block to fit in, but as the piece that helps clear the board. Want to feel that "multiple rows clearing" effect right now? Try this: Rate your current stress level from 0-10. Got it? Now, start Tapping with me – and watch that number drop: | | Tapping on the side of the hand:
Even though I've been feeling all this stress, I acknowledge the pressure I have been under, and I give my body permission to relax. Even though I'm feeling all this stress, and part of me has been holding on to it, I now choose to begin to let it go. Even though I'm feeling all this stress, right now and right here, it's safe to relax. | | You can find the rest of this short Stress Relief Tapping Script here. Rate your stress level again after doing the Tapping – then reply here to let me know how much it shifted. | | | | |
