Supporting empowered communities

Gini,

Empowered communities have the knowledge and power to shape the world around them. And building them around the country is more than just a lofty goal — it's also a key part of making good food for all Americans a reality.

Together with communities, we must build a foundation with all three food equity pillars to make a lasting impact on the food landscape.

We're advancing the first two, a healthy food supply and access to good food, through our programs every day. And we're also advancing the third, empowered communities, by offering resources so people can learn the skills to make healthy choices and the tools to shape their local food systems.

Here are three resources doing just that:

Food Equity Action Center - Our one-stop stop for making an impact for food equity; Food Equity Opportunity Map - this map highlights where food equity exists, and where we can make the biggest impact; Recipe Hub - easy-to-follow, healthy recipes that you can add to your online shopping cart with the click of a button!

Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) believes that we all have a right to access good food. That's why we're convening organizations across the government, business, and nonprofit sectors to fix our broken food system.

But we need your help. We all need to stand together to fuel the food equity movement. I hope you'll take a few minutes to check out these resources and share them with your friends and family.

Together we can build a better food future,
