Raising Adventurous Eaters with Pediatricians

Dr. Kofi Essel quote

👶 The first 1,000 days - from pregnancy to age two - are critical for young children. This time period builds the foundation for all future learning, behavior, and health.

🌱 In a pre-released paper in the American Journal of Public Health, Dr. Kofi Essel, Community Pediatrician at Children's National Hospital and PHA Veggies Early & Often partner, highlights the importance of nutrition in the first 1,000 days and how pediatricians must play a role.

🗓️ On Thursday, November 10 at 3:00pm ET, PHA and the Dr. Yum Project will host a virtual event to release patient education resources for clinicians to help families raise adventurous eaters. Join the event.
