Gini, Did you know that only 1 in 10 children consume the daily recommended amount of vegetables? That's why our Veggies Early & Often program focuses on nutrition for our youngest eaters - it's where we can make the biggest impact on lifelong healthy eating habits. |
|
Here are four ways this program is improving the food system for our littlest eaters: - We offer our Veggies Early & Often icon to label products that contain a meaningful amount of vegetables to make it easier for families to distinguish veggie-forward products for infants and toddlers.
- We partner with early childhood education centers to create healthier menu options.
- We work with companies to improve the nutrition of baby and toddler food products on the market.
- We provide resources to health professionals about the importance of veggies early and often to help them inform those they serve.
By focusing this program on improving the food system for children, we're helping their families raise adventurous eaters. And our work doesn't end there. We are improving the food system at every level and helping families around the country access healthy, affordable food. Gini, I am so grateful to our community of supporters like you for standing with us.
