Piloting long-lasting solutions in Chicago

🍎 Our mission is to ensure that every family, in every zip code has long-lasting affordable access to good food. Innovation work like piloting low-cost meal kits for families in Chicago, in partnership with the Chicago YMCA is an important part of that mission.

📦 Once families have received fresh produce for 12 weeks as part of our Good Food for All program, we're inviting them (and others in the community) to try family meal kits at an affordable price. We're working with companies like The Fruit Guys in Chicago and Genuine Foods in Memphis and Denver to figure out how we can provide plant-forward meals for families to make in just a few minutes at the same cost as fast food.

In Chicago, when we offered the meal kit pilot program, we hoped to get a few hundred families to try it out…and more than 2,500 families signed up. Our goal is to continue learning from pilots like this in as many places as possible to help jumpstart long-lasting affordable access to fresh, high-quality fruits and vegetables.
