Hi Gini, Millions of people who are at an increased risk of diet-related diseases like obesity, diabetes, and hypertension live in under-resourced communities that have been impacted by our unequal food system for generations. Eliminating these disparities will require action across many sectors including health care, housing, education, transportation, criminal justice, finance, social support, and food access. Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) recognizes the opportunity to affect one area that contributes measurably to health equity: access to good food. We are fighting for Food Equity to ensure that every family - in every zip code - has affordable access to good food. |

While our goal is clear, we have a long way to go to make Food Equity a reality. We're working at every level of the food system on long-term and short-term solutions to address barriers to Food Equity like accessibility, affordability, time, and unhealthy food marketing. Thanks to supporters like you, our programs are implementing solutions to these barriers in partnership with communities and making a difference for those who need it most. If you're interested in learning more about Food Equity and how PHA is fighting for it every day, please join our virtual Summit on May 18th. |
